5 Beautiful Quotes About Work & Love
Why share quotes about work and love?
Well, I believe that work and love are, or should be, interrelated. It’s the reason why I chose the name "Work You Love Coach" for what I do.
So, I thought today I would publish a compilation of quotes that speak to the connection between work and love.
My all-time favorite quote about the connection between work and love comes from the Lebanese-American poet and writer, Khalil Gibran:
“Work is love made visible.”
Here’s a beautiful quote by the American Baptist Minister Martin Luther King Jr., reminding us to strive for excellence in work that uplifts humanity:
“No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”
This quote by the Persian poet and Sufi mystic Rumi speaks to the connection between loving and doing:
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.”
Here is a more contemporary quote (it is actually the tagline of the company Heart of Business ). What I love about this one is that it reminds us that business and love don’t have to be an incompatible:
“Every act of business can be an act of love.”
Lastly, here is a beautiful quote about work by Steve Pavlina that I discovered thanks to Shane Snow’s article here:
“Hard work is painful when life is devoid of purpose. But when you live for something greater than yourself and the gratification of your own ego, then hard work becomes a labor of love.”
